SITUATION
AT&T Wireless Services, a leading provider of advanced wireless voice and data services for consumers and for businesses, was looking to establish an effective, turn-key system for their direct mail program.

STRATEGY
With projects that varied by specific monthly, seasonal, and special event offers, AT&T needed a program that would maximize the results from each individual program, yet be efficient and affordable. It was critical that the program be easy to implement. To meet this challenge, Proterra established a direct mail program that effectively streamlined design, print, and mailing services. The program was designed so that key components could reach prospects within 2-4 working days of receiving customer information (in fact, many AT&T Wireless pieces were received by some prospective customers within 24 hours).

RESULTS
• The program began as a mailing of 25,000 pieces and was successful enough to warrant increasing the size of the program to more than three million pieces.

• The program, as requested by AT&T, was simple enough to be executed efficiently and easily, and in fact lowered AT&T Wireless’ marketing program costs by 50%.

• Current figures show a 10-14% response rate for the first two full weeks of the campaign.Proterra continues to provide Direct Mail strategy and support for AT&T Wireless direct marketing. We continued to work on “Quick Turn” direct mail program.
